He maintained that position throughout college, leading the team to an unprecedented year-end championship, as well as personally winning Zone 3 Cacheone Reserve Champion & Zone 3 Flat Champion. Outside of college riding, he had the opportunity to train some students for the first time and work with green sales horses. It was then he discovered his true passion for the process of teaching students and developing green horses.
Tyler then took a riding and management position at HiHopes Farm, LLC under Steve Heinecke and the Oken family promptly after college. Working with some of the top hunters in the country, he discovered his niche in the hunters. Under the tutelage of world-class trainers & R Judges Steve Heinecke (1985 Maclay Champion) and Jeff Wirthman, Tyler gained incredible knowledge while riding, teaching, managing, and showing across the country (KY, Tryon, WEF, etc.).
